First aid kit

  • The goal of First Aid is to try to save a person's life from danger, such as helping him breathe or stopping severe bleeding 
  • Pain relief such as putting a temporary splint on a broken or sprained person 
  • Preventing complications resulting from some accidents such as wound contamination 

Who can provide first aid

Medically certified person: pre-trained and informed about the necessary procedures such as doctors, nurses and paramedics

An ordinary person (not medically approved)who can do this until the arrival of First Aid :

  • Call an ambulance .
  • Check that the injured person is breathing.
  • Deal calmly and quickly when an accident occurs.
  • Not practicing an aid that he has not previously practiced .
  • Avoid endangering oneself.

 

Important first aid in the following emergency situations :

First: call an ambulance: call an ambulance and if there is another person next to you, ask him to call an ambulance while you are losing the injured 

Second: general instructions in case of fire:

  • ٠ do not try to jump from the upper floors if you are surrounded by flames or smoke. And take care of Open the windows to get air and ask for help from others:

Third: if breathing and pulse are stopped, do the following : 

Remove any clothing, accessories, or shoes that put pressure on any part of the injured person's body.

Make sure that there is a free space around the injured person to provide enough air.

Start cardiopulmonary resuscitation in the following way:

  1. Sit on your knees next to the injured person's head.
  2. For CPR, place the heel of your right hand halfway between the nipples of the injured person .
  3. Place the heel of the other hand on top of the first and clasp your hands to secure it.
  4. Keep your arms straight perpendicular above the injured person's chest
  5. Press the injured chest hard and follow the number of 30 presses
